After an exciting ultrasound appointment last week, this morning I had my routine Prenatal visit with Dr Kung and everything looks normal and my due date is confirmed at 2-2-12. However, now that I am past the half way point, we discussed what is going to happen in January. Starting at 36 weeks I will come in for an ultrasound every week. Initially she said she wanted to keep the baby in utero as long as possible, until 39 weeks, today she was saying she wanted to consult a perinatologist considering my previous mayomectomy, and that she is thinking the baby will come out more like 38 weeks. Anything earlier than that and then they will have to do an amnio to check and make sure the baby's lungs are developed enough. I am confident this team of doctors will know what is best, but now it is looking like Elsa's arrival might be between January 19th and the 26th. Januray is a busy months for us, Jonas's Dad's birthday is January 7th, my brother is January 12th and our 2 year wedding anniversary is January 22nd!! Maybe we will have this little girl on our anniversary, that would be very special!
Other than that, I talked with my doctor about the fact that I'm tired all day long, completely normal. I also told her how my acidity is coming back in my stomach and that sometimes when I'm thirsty and drink lots of ice water(my favorite thing!) I burp the water back up, basically I'm spitting up like a baby. This too is NORMAL. The other thing is lately I've been getting more mild to moderate headaches and she advised me that Tylenol is ok and that I can take more than what I thought I could and it is still safe, so next time I need to take it at the onset of the headache and I can take more than the normal dose(probably because I weigh more than than average right now). Lastly my weight, I actually looked at the scale and since conception I've gained 8lbs, I guess that's not too bad. In fact my doctor said that the weight gain "looks good,"" but it also means, based on her recommendation, that I can only gain about 10 more pounds! I guess that means I need to stop with the sweet stuff! It's just so tough, this time of year all the goodies for fall, I love Pumkin everything!
What else is going on, we got a couple of new solid wood doors installed in the house yesterday, the fence was finished, I got a new carpet at Ikea for our living room since the old one had seen better days. I ordered the rest of the stroller gear, and carseat and they showed up yesterday however the carseat was not the color I ordered and the snap n go stroller was broken! So I have to take those big boxes down to UPS today and return them. I think I'm just going to go back to Buy Buy Baby where they had it all and buy those two things there, so I know what I'm getting and can make sure nothing is broken!
Ok that's it for now, this weekend we are off to South Lake Tahoe for a friends wedding, and lucky me I get to do the bride and bridal party hair and make up, so it will be even more fun! And the best part is, I tried on my Tory Burch dress I wanted to wear and it still fits, and since it's all black, I don't even look pregnant, you can only tell from the side view. Hopefully we will take a nice picture and I can post it here next week!

It's a Girl!!!!
Today we had an hour and 1/2 ultrasound, both Jonas and my Mom were present. Our little baby was doing somersaults in the womb. The ultrasound tech couldn't get a good view of the heart so I laid on my side then the other side then she made me take a 15 minute walk, then the final thing was to drain my bladder. Every time she was about to get a good view of the heart, little baby would roll over. It's like the baby knew we were watching her and didn't want her picture taken. Yes so after all that she showed us pretty clearly that there was no, ummmm piece of genitalia between the legs, and she was pretty positive and confident in telling us, that we are having a GIRL! I'm so so excited because I really thought we were going to have 2 boys, sometimes girls aren't so easy to get, so we are both "tickled pink!" We look forward to welcoming baby Elsa Marie Elisabeth Tegnerud!!

Before Pictures of Fence
Before pictures of the fence, walking from front to back. In the 3rd pictures we will have to remove that tree as it died. And you can see the termite damage on the current wood. Which is why we are going with Redwood because they don't like that taste!
Last night Jonas and I met our contractor at Home Depot and purchased $1400 worth of supplies to build the new fence down the side of our house next to the bedrooms. You can see how close the other house is and why I went and got a permit from the city to build to the maximum height of 7ft. Hopefully the inspector from the city won't hold up work, because it should and we were planning that it will be finished Sunday afternoon.

Stroller Decision Made
Ok, I know what we want, I've been thinking about it a lot and my strong gut feeling says go with the Bumbleride in Seagrass. I love these colors and they work for boys and girls. It comes with a car seat adapter, so there is a list of compatible car seats that work with this stroller. You can see the specs of it and how small it folds down, only 20lbs and it pops back up and is ready to go really easily too. My good friend has it in orange. Of course the color I like is backordered or not available on most websites, but I did find it on Stroller Depot with a slight discount, they seem to have it in stock AND free shipping. I am so close to just ordering. What do you think should I just order it?

Hiking, Strollers, Baby Shower
Well, the days seem to go bye faster and faster. This past 3 day weekend I went to my families house in the Lake Tahoe area, and my friends Andrea, Per and their son Erik who is 1 1/2 came up. Jonas stayed home because he had work he had to take care of. My friends didn't show up until Saturday night, so Saturday I went on a 6 mile hike at 8900ft altitude. I read that pregnant women shouldn't exercise at altitudes above 6000 ft, but I go up there almost monthly and it's my church. Hiking up there in the beautiful Sierras is just amazing. This time of year all the blue bells are in bloom and the creeks are full of water because of all the snow this past winter. Here is good place to see pictures of this area.
Anyhow I took a slower than normal pace, and some food, and lots of water and at times I got winded like any normal person but didn't get dizzy or anything out of the ordinary. In fact after sitting on the couch for the first trimester feeling like crap, I was really proud of myself for finishing this hike! But man it kicked my butt for the next 2 days! I did a lot of walking up there these past few days, I think it's the mountain air and the beautiful landscapes, but it's just impossible for me to sit inside! I told Baby T that this is our second home and we will be up there a lot and to enjoy the fresh air! I didn't feel the baby moving around as much, maybe because I was so active, but it kind of worried me because of the whole altitude thing. But now I am home, back at sea level, and sitting on my couch and I am feeling all kinds of kicks! The funny thing is I'm still not really showing, I don't think I'm going to have that nice round baby bump for another month or more!
So, as the days go bye I realize how real this is and that I guess there is no time like now to start looking at strollers and other baby items. I'm going to save the nusery furniture quest for when my Mom is home, but I have talked to many mothers, and looked at a lot of strollers and because of my lifestyle I really think I need a stroller like this. Why? Everything is one purchase, you have your carseat and base, and that clicks into the bigger base. Once the baby grows out of that then they will just be in the stroller.

I really like Bumbleride too and have actually played with one, it's easy to fold up and go, and are great all terrain strollers, but they are also pretty expensive and we would still need to get the car seat and base.I guess we will have to wait and see, there is only 1 in stock of this Chicco set here on Amazon and we have a few months til the Baby Shower, and it could be gone by then. It's not very common, so I haven't really seen it anywhere else. So the Bumbleride might be the one, which is great I love it, good to hike with!
Speaking of Baby Shower, Jonas and I discussed it last night and made the decision. We are going to have our 2nd Annual Advent Party and this year just add Baby Shower to the event title and put our registries in the invite. Not having a lot of family or female friends in the area makes it silly to have just a girls shower. This way we can have our Holiday party with Scandinavian goodies and Glogg, and celebrate the impending birth of our first child at the same time. I think we will do it on Sunday December 4th since it's the holiday season and there are always company holiday parties every friday and saturday night leading up to Christmas.
Ok that's it for today!
