Always something

This week we got the concrete hauled away on Monday. Then it started pouring for 5 days in a row and it's been really cold, snowing on the mountains around the Bay. Today it finally stopped. However since it has rained so heavily and because the clay dirt along the house does not absorb water, we basically had a swimming pool along the side of the house! So Jonas again, my hero, dug a hole and put a pump in there to get rid of the water! We are hosting the family today for dinner to celebrated my Dad's birthday too!
Dad asked for specific meal, ending with home made apple pie, and you know my Jonas loves to bake!
I'm just happy the sun finally came out and we can begin to fix the yard again. Notice our new garden Gnome! Jonas and I named him Talbot.....

More Work Than We Thought!

As you can see we didn't get far! It's going to take a few more days of work to get all this concrete out!

Also Jonas kicked me out of the back room, he needed more "work space" so he told me to go and get a new desk which fits nicely in our front room and doesn't look like a desk at all. So he assembled it for me and I really like it but I have to get used to the new organization I have with a new desk...
