After my OB appointment 4 weeks ago I did a lot of thinking, and being safe even if little sister has little issues at birth like Elsa did, is ok to make sure that my uterus doesn't rupture thus putting me and the baby a BIG risks. So I talked to my OB this last week at my appt and we decided to move the date up more into the 37th week, so the scheduler called me today, and we moved it to, ummm Monday August 19th, a whopping 24 hours sooner. I would think if there was such a big risk there would be more dates available like the 15th or 16th, but no. My Dr is "on vacation" the 16th and is in the OR on the 15th. I think I might email her on this. But for now the 19th it is. The finish line is in sight. I can do this, of course I can. Nevermind that the groin pain is back and the sciatica that shoots darts of sharp pain down my butt cheeks graces me with it's presence almost daily. Then there is just the fatigue. BUT we are going to have another little doodle! As Jonas says, its going to be hard in the beginning but so rewarding. I agree. But again with bottle feeding and a PT babysitter I'm not too worried.
My 2nd cousin Astrid is here visiting us. It was super last minute. My Aunt sends me an email saying "would you like to have Astrid come to help you with Elsa and the dog?" I'm thinking sweet, sure send her on over. Well a week later and here she is. She was 2 hours from landing when an Asiana plane pilot decided to crash land at SFO, thus sending her SAS plane to Sacramento for a few hours until they reopened and could come back. DRAMA. We were all spent on Saturday. Sunday we took her to see the view from my brothers house, and then over to Half Moon Bay for lunch. Nothing too exciting but I am sitting here wondering what I can do to entertain an almost 17 year old that I barely know. She is a soft spoken girl and as far as I know because she told me, she has no babysitting experience, and has never changed a diaper. She can however watch Elsa a bit while I'm doing other things. So I have some of our days filled up with things to do, and while I would prefer to just rest at home and take it easy, I feel guilty if I don't show her the area, I mean she's never been to CA and it's kind of a big deal. We have a Giants game scheduled in a few weeks that will be FUN. I mean as I write this she is watching the Giants play with Jonas so I think she might enjoy the excitement of the stadium.
Well, that's about it, oh I bet you're wondering what name we are on to this week... well the name "Astrid" is holding strong in first place, and Astrid says she would love it if we named her that, it means beautiful goddess. I still love Dagny but Jonas and I have to agree on something and I won't bully him into it. So Astrid is the only name as of right now, Annika is still a solid choice too, and we might even be back to Tova, but still got 6 weeks left to figure it out! hah
